Thank you for considering Colorado Public Radio as a way to honor or remember a loved one.  Tribute and Memorial gifts are a meaningful way to celebrate a friend or family member while supporting the music and news programming they value.  Or, consider a Gift Membership to observe a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, holiday or other special occasion.

Colorado Public Radio offers three different vehicles to honor that special person. 

Tribute Gift – A donation made in honor of someone living. The donor receives IRS tax credit, not the honored recipient.  The recipient will be notified that a gift has been made in their honor but not receive additional requests for support. We will send a certificate to notify the honoree of your Tribute gift, with no mention of the amount. 

Memorial Gift – A donation made in honor of someone deceased.   The donor receives IRS tax credit, not the remembered person nor their bereaved.   Notification can be sent to a third-party but neither the recipient nor the person being notified will receive additional requests for support. We will send a certificate to notify the bereaved of your Memorial Gift, with no mention of the amount. 

Gift Memberships – A donation that provides a one-year membership to a recipient other than the donor.   IRS tax credit is given to the donor.  The recipient receives notification of the gift membership.  A MemberCard will be sent for gifts of $120 or more. After one year, the recipient will be asked to continue their membership.
